In the field, every rattan subcontractor and weaver starts with a different level of digital familiarity. Hands-on practice with real examples made the difference.
Digitalization works best when no one gets left behind.
The challenge
PasarMIKRO has been running direct assistance sessions with rattan subcontractors and weavers in the field. One thing quickly became clear: each user comes with a different level of digital familiarity. A one-size-fits-all approach does not work.
What we did
We adapted the sessions and made hands-on practice the core of every one. Participants tried data input and transaction synchronization themselves, using real examples from their own work.
The program is supported by DEG Impulse and IKEA Social Entrepreneurship.
Results
- Comprehension improved significantly once participants could try the steps directly.
- Discussions became more active, and questions came naturally at every step.
- Workflows are now more connected, more transparent and usable by the people on the ground.
Digitalization is not only about deploying a system. It is about making sure every user, whatever their starting point, can adapt with confidence. This is how PasarMIKRO builds supply chains that last.
