Traceability is the new price of entry for agri exports to Europe

By PasarMIKRO

European buyers are shortlisting suppliers around one question: can you prove it? With EUDR applying from 30 December 2026, traceability and ESG data have to come from the field, not from estimates.

Our view: by 2027, agri exporters without verified traceability will not only face compliance risk. They risk being priced out of premium markets.

The data gap

There are no official figures on EUDR readiness among Indonesian farmers. By one estimate, as of mid-2024, less than 5% of Indonesian smallholder farmers had geo-referenced polygon data uploaded.

That matters because geolocation data for every plot is a basic EUDR requirement. Our EUDR page explains what is needed for each plot.

EUDR is close, and buyers are already acting

The EUDR applies from 30 December 2026 for large and medium operators and traders, and from 30 June 2027 for micro and small operators.

Buyers across Europe are not waiting for those dates. They are quietly building supplier shortlists around one question: can you prove it?

Why most supply chains cannot answer yet

Most agri supply chains in Southeast Asia still cannot answer that question. Not because the data does not exist, but because it was never captured, structured or made auditable.

ESG needs field-level data

ESG reporting without field-level data is just storytelling. Dashboards that do not connect to real transactions are theater. Carbon numbers without source verification are noise.

What we build instead

PasarMIKRO has spent 5 years digitizing Indonesia’s smallholder chains, from trade finance to traceability, so suppliers can prove deforestation-free origins with confidence. We build:

  • Full traceability from farm and fishing ground to export, verified rather than estimated
  • EUDR-ready compliance built into live trade workflows
  • ESG dashboards that reflect what actually happened, not what was reported

PasarMIKRO was awarded Best AgriTech 2025 at Earth Jump. We help importers and processors turn compliance into a competitive advantage.

Proof is what counts

The organizations that lead the next decade of agri trade will not be the ones with the boldest sustainability statements. They will be the ones who can prove it.

Traceability is no longer an aspiration. It is the new price of entry.
